Visit to the Navy by the Chief of Staff of the Ivory Coast National Navy

The Navy received, between 2 and 5 June, the visit of the Chief of Staff of the Ivory Coast National Navy, Rear Admiral N’Guessan Kouamé Célestin. In this context, the Hydrographic Institute received Lieutenant Koné Souleymane. In addition to the presentation of the organization and the activities developed, a visit to the Hydrography and Oceanography Divisions was sponsored.

The presentation of the developed activities aroused an additional interest in the new GEOMETOC area (Geospatial, Meteorological and Oceanographic Information) and a visit to the GEOMETOC Maritime Center was also ensured. As planned, the visit ended at the School of Hydrography and Oceanography, where category courses are taught A and B recognized worldwide by the International Hydrographic Organization.

The visit has strengthened ties of friendship with the Ivory Coast Navy and will certainly contribute to finding new ways of cooperation.
