Visit to the IH of the Staff of the Ivory Coast National Navy.

The Chief of Staff of the Ivory Coast National Navy, Rear Admiral Konate Djakaridja, visited the Hydrographic Institute on Thursday, where he was received on arrival by the Chief of Staff of the Navy and National Maritime Authority, Admiral Mendes Calado, and the Director General of the IH, Rear Admiral Coelho Cândido.

After the welcome, a presentation was followed on the mission and capabilities of this institute in the areas of sea science and technology. The program continued with a passage from the exhibition entitled “ Map the Portuguese Sea: Cartography – from the discoveries to the present”, and by the Technical Directorate, where it enabled the exchange of information about the main research and development projects and the support of the IH to naval and maritime operations.

This visit was part of an extended program to the Portuguese Navy, which contemplated trips to the various units.
