Visit of the Order of the Franciscan Sisters Hospitallers of the Immaculate Conception

On 22nd, the Hydrographic Institute (HI) received a visit from a group belonging to the Order of the Franciscan Sisters Hospitallers of the Immaculate Conception.

This visit had special significance because these sisters have a special connection to the Trina Convent, which was their mother house from 1878 until the Republic was established in 1910. In this convent lived Sister Maria Clara of the Child Jesus, founder of the Order, blessed on May 21, 2011.

The visit allowed us to remember the experiences of the time of which the nineteenth-century tiles remain, the monumental staircase of access to the low choir, the cloister and the grand conventional cuisine with its sinks and salt pans in marble.
