Visit of the auditors of the Promotion Course to Superior Official 2018-2019

Enclosed in the Naval Doctrine curricular unit, the Hydrographic Institute (IH) received, on October 23, the visit of 29 officers students of the Promotion Course to Senior Officer - Navy (CPOS) 2018-2019, accompanied by the Director of the Course and Professor of the Navy Specific Teaching Area, captain-in-fragatta Santos Gonçalves.

The visit began at the Hydrographic Base (BH), in Seixal, where it included a passage from the Maritime Instrumentation Center, Laboratory of Calibration of oceanographic equipment, with regard to the calibration and repair of technical and scientific instruments. The visits to the Oceanography and Marine Geology and the Hydrographic Brigades are also highlighted, and the work developed in these areas has been presented.

In the IH, in Lisbon, after the presentation of compliments, the auditors of the CPOS-M attended the institutional film and a presentation by Captain Lieutenant Isabel Cruz, adjunct of the Technical Director, in order to provide a better knowledge of the organic structure and activities developed by this institute. The visit continued through the technical and scientific divisions, by the School of Hydrography and Oceanography, and ended in the Library where a few words of thanks were given to the Director-General of the IH, Rear Admiral Carlos Ventura Soares, for the proportionate visit.
