Visit by the Ambassador of the Indonesian National Resilience Institute

On 16 May 2016, the Hydrographic Institute received a visit from a delegation from the Indonesian Defense Institute headed by Ambassador Sebastianus Sumarsono, accompanied by General S.H.M. Lerrick and General Semion Remon. This delegation was also accompanied by elements from the Indonesian Embassy in Lisbon, with the presence of the Head of Chancellery, Dr. Prof. Yusuf Arifin, the Head of Protocol, Dr. Arie Poluzzi, and Dr. Sandra Moreira, Advisor.

The Director-General of the Hydrographic Institute, Rear Admiral Coelho Cândido, received the Delegation for a work meeting, which allowed exchange of ideas and sharing of experiences in the context of the work connected with Defense.

The visit program included the exhibition of the institutional film and a passage through the Technical Directorate, allowing the Delegation to know the activities developed in the areas of marine sciences and techniques that contribute to the development of the country in the scientific, defense and marine environment.

At the end of the visit, the Ambassador of the Indonesian National Resilience Institute signed the Book of Honor, where he thanked for the welcome, hoping for a future link between these two institutes.
