Visit by the auditors of the 1st edition of CPOS to OH

The Hydrographic Institute (HI) received, on 21 January, the visit of 32 auditors of the 1st edition of the Promotion Course to the Superior Officer - Navy (CPOS-M) ) and the Promotion Course to the Senior Officer of the Navy Health Service (CPOS-M SS), 2019-2020, accompanied by the Course Director and simultaneously professor of the Navy Specific Teaching Area, captain-of-fragnate Lopes Carrilho, of the Military University Institute.

This visit was carried out in the context of the Curricular Unit of Naval Doctrine and aimed to make known the organic structure and activities developed by the IH.

The Vice Admiral Hydrographic Base Sarmento Gouveia, in Seixal, was the starting point of this visit, where the facilities and activities developed at the Maritime Instrumentation Center and the Hydrographic Brigades were presented, then passing by the pails of the divisions of Marine Geology and Oceanography and the Pavilion of Galeotas.

The second part of the visit was held at the headquarters building in Lisbon, where they had the opportunity to visit the technical-scientific divisions and the GEOMETOC Maritime Centre of Excellence.
