Visit of a group of representatives of the Federal University of Pernambuco
On March 14, the Hydrographic Institute (HI) received a visit from a group of representatives of the Federal University of Pernambuco (UFPE), in Brazil. The committee was part of UFPE Vice-Rector Professor Moacyr Araújo, the Pro-rectors for the areas of Graduate and Research and Innovation, respectively Professors Carol Leandro and Pedro Carelli, and the directors for the areas of International Relations and Post-Graduate Lato Sensu, respectively Professors Madson Gois and Juliano Iyoda.
The visit to the IH was part of the pilgrimage by several Portuguese research institutions and university universities that this delegation conducted between 5 and 15 March and aimed to identify potential partnerships and collaborations. Both UFPE and IH are entities that contribute to joint initiatives under the AANCHOR European project (cooperation in the Atlantic) and have for some time been interested in visiting the IH with a view to deepening mutual knowledge of the areas of activity and capabilities of the two institutions and identifying possible synergies and future collaborations - a fully achieved objective.
