Visit by a Delegation from the Japanese Embassy to the Hydrographic Institute

On 30 May 2016, the Hydrographic Institute received a visit from the Japanese Embassy Advisor, Dr. Hiroaki Sano, who was accompanied by Mrs. Akiko Kikuchi, third secretary for political and protocol matters.

After welcoming the Director-General of the Hydrographic Institute, Rear Admiral Coelho Cândido, a work meeting was held, followed by a guided visit to the divisions of the Technical Directorate, which allowed the visiting delegation a thorough knowledge of the activities carried out in the areas of the sciences and techniques of the sea, with the aim of evaluating a possible cooperation action in the future.
