Guided tour of the Convent of the Mocambo Trinas - 2017
The Navy's Hydrographic Institute (IH), in addition to its fundamental mission, which is to ensure activities related to the sciences and techniques of the sea, is open for cultural visits related to the history of the building where it has been based since 1969, the former Convent of the Mocambo Trinas.
On November 11 the IH received a free group “ALL”, consisting of twenty-six people. These visitors had the opportunity to visit the spaces affected by the old convent that still preserves the artistic elements of high historical and heritage value, namely its 19th century tiles, the monumental staircase of access to the bass choir, the cloister and the grand conventional cuisine with its sinks and salt pans in marble
