Visit by the President of the Portuguese Committee for the Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission

The Director-General of the Hydrographic Institute, Rear Admiral António Coelho Cândido received, this Thursday, January 25, the visit of the President of the Portuguese Committee for the Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission (CP-COI), Professor Luís Menezes Pinheiro, for a presentation of greetings and a visit to the scientific technical areas and the Naval Oceanographic Meteorological Center, where the ongoing projects related to the knowledge and research of the sea were presented, and the operational capacity, which contribute to the scientific and technological development of the country.

At the end of the visit, the President of the CP – IOC, Professor Luís Menezes Pinheiro, signed the book of Honor, where he expressed his gratitude for the work developed by this institute of greatest relevance to the knowledge of the Ocean in Portugal.
