Multi-beam Sonar Training Course (MB Course)
The Hydrographic Institute (IH) receives, in November 2022, the MBC80, a Multi-beam Sonar Training course, dedicated to Hydrographers and researchers in the areas of sea mapping and sea sciences.
Teached by the "MB Course", the course has a duration of 6 days, and is designed specifically to provide a theoretical and practical background in hydrographic surveys with swath technology and techniques, for use in boundaries of marine areas, offshore engineering, dredging, biological habitats, and scientific research.
This course, which derives from the courses taught at the University of New Hampshire (UNH) - USA and University of New Brunswick (UNB) - Canada, at the Center for Coastal and Ocean Mapping (CCOM) and Ocean Mapping Group (OMG), enables you to acquire a high level of knowledge in a single week about the use of multi-beam sonars.
