Topographic Survey, Azores, Western Group - 2019
The Hydrographic Brigade finished the top-hydrographic survey in the western group of the Azores on August 16, 2019 with the retraction of the team, equipment and water boat Mergulhão, boarding the NRP D. Carlos I off the island of Flores.
The mission had 9 days on the island of Flores and 19 days on the island of Corvo and was a great logistical, operational challenge and overcoming the unstable and unfavorable meteorological elements.
The works consisted of surveying around the island of Corvo, complementing the hydrographic survey carried out by the NRP Admiral Gago Coutinho, held in 2018, until the baptism of the 10 meters and, in addition, topography the port of the House.
On the island of Flores, the topography of 2 headlights and several buildings belonging to the Navy took place. Hydrographic surveys of the port of Lajes and the port of Poças were also carried out.
