Another AQUIMAR project campaign is underway

This campaign, under the responsibility of the Division of Chemistry and Pollution of the Marine Environment of the Hydrographic Institute (IH), was held on August 6 in Aveiro and is now heading for the river Mondego.

During these days data are being obtained from water and sediment samples for the characterization of biological and physicochemical parameters, including contaminants and microplastics, in water and sediment matrices.

The AQUIMAR project (http://www.hydrographic.pt/iproject/29) aims to identify the places with greater aptitude for aquaculture practice, based on the areas already delimited in the Maritime Space Planning Plan (potential aquaculture).
