Commander Pinto da Silva is the new Head of the Hydrographic Brigade
In a ceremony chaired by the Director-General of the Hydrographic Institute, Rear Admiral Ventura Soares, took place on January 11, at the Vice Admiral Hydrographic Base Sarmento Gouveia, in Azinheira – Seixal, the ceremony of change of the head of the Hydrographic Brigade.
Commander Callisto de Almeida passed the testimony to the new officer, Commander Rui Pinto da Silva.
Commander Rui Pinto da Silva is a hydrographer engineer and has extensive experience in the area of Hydrography, having already been, for example, deputy officer of the Hydrographic Brigade. Among other positions he has already held, the command of the hydro-oceanographic ship NRP Almirante Gago Coutinho also stands out.
