Review of technical specifications for hydrographic surveys

The fifth meeting of the Hydrographic Surveys Project Team (HSPT) of the International Hydrographic Organization (OHI) was held in Stockholm at SMA (Swedish Maritime Administration), where the IH was present representing Portugal.

This meeting aimed to finalize the 6th edition of the S-44 ‘IHO Standards for Hydrographic Surveys’, a publication that internationally classifies and defines the minimum requirements recommended by OHI for hydrographic surveys. This issue is under review and will be put to the vote by the Member States of OHI and is expected to be published in the last quarter of 2020.
