Technicians from the Hydrographic Institute receive UAV training

For 3 days a team of technicians of physical oceanography, marine geology and hydrography of the Hydrographic Institute was trained to operate the recently acquired submersible autonomous vehicle (AUV).

The training was supported by the Portuguese Navy Maritime Experimentation Center, giving its facilities in Troy to the sea component.

This AUV has the ability to acquire information from the bottom and the water column through several installed sensors.
