Today the ceremony took place as Director General of the Hydrographic Institute (IH). Rear Admiral Carlos Manuel da Costa Ventura Soares is the new holder.
This ceremony was chaired by the Chief of Staff of the Armada and National Maritime Authority, Admiral António Mendes Calado, and was attended by representatives of congenial entities, several officers of the Armada and many people who wanted to join the event personally.
Rear Admiral Carlos Manuel da Costa Ventura Soares is a Navy officer who knows IH well and has a vast curriculum in the area of marine sciences and technologies, in the military and scientific sphere.
