Students of the Naval Academy of Angola held internship at the IH - 2021

As part of the internship of the final students of the Naval Academy of Angola in the Portuguese Navy, 13 Angolan marine guards ended on November 5, 2021 the 4-day internship at the Hydrographic Institute (IH). The internship was coordinated by the School of Hydrography and Oceanography (EHO) and allowed these students to know the IH as well as its main technical and scientific activities. The students were received by the Director of EHO who presented them with the internship program, and also gave a lecture on EHO and its training activity. The internship included lectures from all areas of the Technical Directorate, visits to the Divisions, a lecture and visit to the Geospatial, Meteorological and Oceanographic Maritime Center (CGEOMETOC), as well as a historical visit conducted by the Documentation Directorate and a day's visit to the Azinheira Hydrographic Base. This type of internship is of great importance in the context of cooperation between the Portuguese and Angolan Navys and allowed 24 Angolan students to attend the courses taught at EHO.
