Storm Ana registered by the IH meteo-oceanographic buoy network
Storm Ana, which has been felt in Portugal since last night, was registered by the network of meteo-oceanographic buoys of the Hydrographic Institute.
There has been a worsening of the state of the sea since 18h of yesterday, with a significant height (Hm0) maximum of 8.7 m (04:00) and maximum height (Hmax) from 13.2 m to 11:00, in the buoy of Oceanic Leixões. There were also significant maximum height values of 7.3 m (13:00 from 17-12-10) and maximum height of 14.1 m at 09:00 (17-12-11), in the ocean Nazareth buoy.
In relation to the measured atmospheric parameters, a minimum atmospheric pressure of 992 hPa was recorded at 00:00 o'clock today in the oceanic lexicon buoy and maximum wind speed of 89 km/h, measured in the buoy of Ocean Nazareth.
