Storm 14 and 15 November 2019

During yesterday's day, 14 November 2019 and the dawn of November 15, there was a worsening of the state of the sea in Continental Portugal due to the passage of low pressure in the North Atlantic.

The monitoring network of the Hydrographic Institute recorded in its buoys the passage of the storm, with high heights and high periods coming from the Northwest.

A significant height of 10.02m (18h00) and a maximum height of 17.14m (20h00) were found in the Oceanic Leixões buoy.

The coastal leixões buoy recorded a maximum height of 15.61m at 5:30pm and a significant height of 8.83m at 8:00pm.

In the buoy of Ocean Nazareth there was a significant height of 9.11m at 9pm and a maximum height of 12.58m at 4pm on November 15.
