Ceremony for the delivery of the badges and diplomas of the Specialization Course in Hydrography

On May 10, 2019, the ceremony for the delivery of badges and diplomas to the Specialization Course in Hydrography 2017/2018 was held at the Hydrographic Institute.

The course is recognized since 1983 with the highest category, category A, having renewed recognition by FIG-IHO-ICA International Board on Standards of Competence for Hydrographic Surveyors and Nautical Cartooners, 2016.

This course was completed by four Portuguese Navy officers, a Moroccan Navy officer and two Brazilian and Italian nationals.

Being taught in Portuguese, it can also be attended by Portuguese civilians or other countries. In the specific case, its scope and contribution to the worldwide formation in Hydrography, exceeds the linguistic limits with students from countries whose language is not Portuguese.

Also one of the factors of great satisfaction for the School of Hydrography and Oceanography is the ease with which its civilian students get a job, and it should be noted that the two who attended this course could not be present at the ceremony because they were already working, in the specific case, at Fugro GB companies in the delegation of Aberdeen in Scotland and the Guardian Geomatics of Australia.
