Seven Days of Hydrographic Engineering and Second Days Luso-Spanish Hydrography
Yesterday, at the Hydrographic Institute, the seventh Hydrographic Engineering Days and the second Luso-Spanish Hydrography Days began. Until next Thursday, June 23, 88 papers will be presented, prepared by 271 authors of eleven nationalities and belonging to 24 institutions, related to the sciences and techniques of the sea.
The discussion of topics such as hydrography, cartography, oceanography, marine geology, chemistry and pollution of the marine environment, sea technologies, navigation security and spatial data infrastructures, aims to contribute to enhance knowledge and sustainable development from the sea, always having as a backdrop a blue future that helps to preserve the Planet.
With the realization of the Days on these dates it is also intended to evoke the World Hydrography Day, established by the International Hydrographic Organization and this year has the theme "Hydrography - contributing to the United Nations Ocean Decade".
