The mission to collect sediment samples for the AQUIMAR project has come to an end
A team of the Marine Environment Chemical and Pollution Division, with the support of an element of the Oceanography Division and the NRP garrison Andromeda completed another sediment sampling mission for the AQUIMAR – Marine Knowledge Supporting Aquaculture project (http://www.hidrografico.pt/iprojeto/29)
The mission began on May 18, 2020 and ended successfully on June 1, 2020, with a total of 136 stations and 245 samples of marine sediments from the mid and internal platform between Viana do Castelo and Figueira da Foz.
The samples will proceed to the laboratories of the Hydrographic Institute, where they will be analyzed and interpreted under the AQUIMAR project.
