Deputy Secretary of State and National Defense visits the Hydrographic Institute
The Hydrographic Institute received the visit of the Deputy Secretary of State and National Defense (SEADN), Dr. Jorge Seguro Sanches, in the Hydrographic Base of Azinheira, this Thursday, October 14, 2021. The visit was also attended by the Chief of Staff of the Navy and National Maritime Authority, Admiral Mendes Calado and the Director General of Maritime Authority and Commander General of the Maritime Police, Vice Admiral Coelho Cândido.
During the visit, the IH SENSORTECH project was presented and a visit was made to the premises.
The visit made it possible to know the Maritime Instrumentation Center (calibration laboratory, electronics workshop, equipment room), the equipment spaces, the sawmill, the flag of the vessels, the Pombalino pavilion and the bridge, as well as the new facilities of the Maritime Police Tactical Action Group.
At the end of the visit, the Director-General of the Hydrographic Institute, Rear Admiral Ventura Soares, offered SEADN a product of the Institute for nautical cartography of the Guadiana River.
