Secretary of State for Fisheries and the Sea visits the Hydrographic Institute

The Hydrographic Institute (IH) received today, 7 January, a visit from the Secretary of State for Fisheries and the Sea (SEPM), Salvador Malheiro.

The visit was attended by the Chief of the Naval Staff, Admiral Jorge Manuel Nobre de Sousa, as well as the Director-General of the Hydrographic Institute, Rear Admiral João Paulo Ramalho Marreiros.

During the visit, the Secretary of State for Fisheries and the Sea had the opportunity to attend a briefing on the activities and missions of the IH, visit the Chemistry and Marine Geology Laboratories, the NATO Centre of Excellence (MGEOMETOC), and view an exhibition of equipment operated by the Hydrographic Institute.

The visit concluded with the signing of the Book of Honour and the presentation of an institutional memento to the Secretary of State for Fisheries and the Sea.
