Navy Day 2021

Happy Navy Day!

For 60 years, the Hydrographic Institute (IH) was established by the Navy, and its main mission is to ensure the activities related to the sciences and techniques of the sea, with a view to its military application in support of naval operations.

As such, today the IH congratulates the Navy on the day they mark 523 years of the arrival of Vasco da Gama to Calecute, thus discovering the maritime path to India.
