Centre of Technology and Systems FCT/ UNL officers visit OH
The Hydrographic Institute (IH) received on April 30 the visit of the managers of the Centre of Technology and Systems (CTS), the Faculty of Science and Technology / Universidade Nova de Lisboa, Prof. Dóduto Luis M. Camarinha Matos and Prof. John Goes.
This visit was aimed at sharing synergies and promoting technical and scientific cooperation between the IH and the CTS in the field of electronic engineering and computers technologies.
The Vice Admiral Hydrographic Base Sarmento Gouveia, in the Seixal, was the starting point of the visit, where they had the opportunity to know the capabilities of the Maritime Instrumentation Center in the calibration, maintenance and development of technical-scientific equipment and instruments and the valences of the Hydrographic Brigade to conduct surveys and processing of top-hydrographic data.
The work developed in the areas of hydrography, navigation, oceanography, marine and chemical geology and marine pollution, as well as the infrastructure of the Naval Meteorological and Oceanographic Centre, was presented at the Trina Facilities.
The CTS (https://www.fct.unl.pt/en/research/centre-technology-and-systems) has as its mission the realization of fundamental and applied research of excellence, advanced training, dissemination of knowledge and stimulation in technology transfer in the main fields of Electrical Engineering and Computers (EEC).
