Report displayed on RTP 1 about the mission SEDMAR 2017

On 26 and 28 May 2017 the hydrographic ship NRP “Admiral Gago Coutinho” was docked and opened for visits in Funchal.

On board this ship is the SEDMAR 2017 mission, led by a team of the Marine Geology Division of the Hydrographic Institute and joined by researchers from other research institutions in the field of marine biology such as the University of Aveiro and the Oceanographic Observatory of Madeira.

This mission began on April 30th and aims to map marine ecosystems with regard to the nature of the bottoms of the platform and continental part of the Madeira archipelago.
