MELOA Project in Newsletter

MELOA - "Multi-purpose/Multi-sensor Extra Light Oceanography Apparatus" is a project funded by the European Union Horizon 2020 programme aimed at developing a family of innovative products: WAVY drift floaters.

The WAVYs should allow the establishment of versatile systems, easy to launch, low maintenance level and low cost for in situ observation in marine environments, allowing filling gaps in marine observations and increasing the availability of in situ data in coastal and oceanic areas.

The Hydrographic Institute is a partner in the project, involving oceanographers from the Oceanography Division.

To follow the developments of this innovative project, see your Newsletter. The first edition is already available in https://www.ec-meloa. me/pages/meloa-newsletter--1st-edition--january-2019.
