Project 4S, 1st Technical Review

The 1st Technical Review of the '4S' project took place on 13 and 14 July (Satellite Seafloor Survey Suite), with EU R&D H2020 funding (subsidy No 101004221), in a consortium of 8 partners worldwide.

The technical review took place in a virtual way, taking into account the current pandemic context, with Project 4S proceeding as planned, with no questions to be highlighted.

This project started in November 2020, has a duration of 3 years, and aims to develop an online solution in cloud, for mapping the seabed from the derivation of bathimetry by satellite images and AUV. Currently 4S is already in a development phase, overtaken the entire initial planning phase, and it is planned to start data collection and start the development of use-cases by the end of 2021.
