Pressure Sensor Calibration
The Calibration Laboratory of the Maritime Instrumentation Center (CIM) has increased its ability to calibrate positive and negative relative pressure sensors (Manometers, mano-vacuometers and vacuometers in the measurement range between -1 bar and 21 bar), as well as absolute pressure sensors (e.g. barometers, in the measurement range between 0 bar and 22 bar), after the acquisition of the WIKA Pressure Controller CPC6050 with barometric option.
Aanderaa's Atmospheric Pressure Sensors (2810) are used in the IH weather stations, and to date, it was necessary to use an external laboratory to be calibrated. Currently, and after the development of the latest Calibration Laboratory assay, it is already possible to calibrate these same sensors in the IH itself.
The CIM Calibration Laboratory is currently developing further trials with the intention of making it autonomous and trying to contribute more and more to the scientific community.
In the images you can see Tec Luis Alves in the preparation of the equipment at the CIM Calibration Laboratory, as well as the calibration of some sensors that are available to be included in a next cycle in the IH weather stations.
