My Internship at the Hydrographic Institute - João Francisco Alves

I am João Francisco Gomes Alves, a student of the Technical course of industrial maintenance / Mechatronics Technician of the Professional School of Almada.

I completed my internship at the Hydrographic Institute (IH) between June 1 and July 31, at the engine workshop of the Infrastructure and Transport Service (IT).

During the internship I performed the most differentiated tasks, from doing the review to different vehicles of the IH fleet. I collaborated in reviewing and repairing two medium-sized vessels and some engines off-board and semi-rigid boats. During the internship I also had the opportunity to perform some deeper interventions, one being the exchange of a clutch of the Nissan Prima Star van and 9 places.

This internship was a great opportunity for me, because for a long time I had a great taste for the Navy and with these two months I spent in the engine workshop in the IH, that taste and desire to join the Navy just grew.

In these two months I have had the opportunity to learn a great deal from the people who work for them here, only my sincere thanks.
