EMGFA and Ramos know CMETOC

The Hydrographic Institute (IH) received, this Friday, January 26, 2018, the visit of a technical team, composed of military personnel from the General Staff of the Armed Forces and Armed Forces Branches, with the aim of making known the operational capabilities of the new Naval Meteorological and Oceanographic Center, recently created in the Navy.

The Marine Meteorological and Oceanographic Centre (CMETOC) is tasked with ensuring the management and availability of GEOMETOC information, essential to the planning and conduct of the Navy's operations and the IH's activity, as well as promoting research, scientific and technological development and innovation in the field of GEOMETOC products and systems to support military decision-making.
