NRP Sagres launched another drift buoy
The NRP Sagres, during its journey around the world, launched on 16 January another drift buoy.
Currently, there are four drifting buoys floating in the ocean, three between Lisbon and Tarifa and the last, between Tarifa and Cabo Verde.
These buoys are contributing to the Global Programme of Derivatives (Global Drifter Program – GDP) https://www.aoml. noaa.gov/phod/gdp/), their trajectories and data transmitted may be monitored and obtained from the websites: http://osmc.noaa.gov/Monitor/OSMC/OSMC. html
