NRP Admiral Gago Coutinho initiates multidisciplinary hydro-oceanographic campaign - 2021

The NRP Admiral Gago Coutinho it began on 21 March 2021 a multidisciplinary hydro-oceanographic campaign that will consist, in a first phase, the collection of vertical sediment samples in the delta zone of the Tagus and head of the sea cannon of Lisbon, in the continental platform of the Tagus and Ericeira, between 20 and 150 m deep.

For the execution of these works the ship has embarked a scientific team of 8 elements of the Portuguese Institute of the Sea and Atmosphere (IPMA) and a technical team of 4 elements of the Division of Marine Geology (GM) of the Hydrographic Institute (IH).
