New Digital Lightlist Format

The Hydrographic Institute now offers free of charge, and in a new digital format, the List of Lights, Boias, Balls and Fog Signs – VOLUME I – PORTUGAL. This document is a Nautical Publication with information on Navigation Aids, which is intended for the use of maritime navigation in general and comprises the following volumes:

- What? VOLUME I - Portugal

- What? VOLUME II - Guinea-Bissau, São Tomé and Príncipe, Angola and Mozambique

- What? VOLUME III - Cape Verde

VOLUME I – PORTUGAL covers the entire national territory (Portugal Continental, Azores archipelago and Madeira Archipelago). This publication is prepared and updated by the Hydrographic Institute in accordance with the Technical Resolutions of the International Hydrographic Organization, with the regulations of the International Maritime Signaling Association and with the existing national legislation. It contains information that is updated monthly by the Navigantes Notice Group, in particular with regard to visual and sound signaling on the Portuguese coast and within the ports of Portugal and the Spanish signage that can be used in the maritime areas covered by this list.
