EMODnet Network launches new portal

EMODnet (European Marine Observation and Data Network) launched earlier this year its new Central Data Portal of the Marine Environment (EMODnet Central Portal – emodnet.ec.europa.eu). The new Portal aggregates and interconnects information that was previously dispersed through the seven thematic portals that constitute the network, as well as improving a large number of features.

The Hydrographic Institute, as a network partner in the thematic areas of Batimetry, Physics and Chemistry, as well as national responsible for validating data from national institutions through the EMODnet Ingestion program, welcomes all partners for a further step in the dissemination and provision of data and services on the marine environment to the community.

In addition to EMODnet Central Portal users can also consult more detailed information for national maritime areas on the Hydrographic+ portal (geomar.hidrografico.pt).
