Minister for Education, Family and Social Inclusion of Cape Verde visits IH

The Hydrographic Institute (HI) received the Minister of Education, Family and Social Inclusion of Cape Verde, Dr. Maritza Rosabal Peña, on the occasion of her visit to Portugal as part of the cooperation activities with the Ministry of Science and Higher Education and with the Atlantic International Research Center (AIR - Center).

This visit allowed the Director-General of the IH, Rear Admiral Ventura Soares, to present the activity of the IH in the area of the Sea Sciences, highlighting the research work related to Cape Verde. There was also the opportunity to present, among other works, the recent update of the port letters of Cape Verde. The visit ended with a passage through the Hydrography Division and the two certified IH laboratories in the areas of Geology and Chemistry and Pollution of the Marine Environment.
