Minister of National Defense visits the Hydrographic Institute

On March 13, the Chief of Staff of the Armada, Admiral Mendes Calado, received at the Hydrographic Institute (IH) the Minister of National Defense, Prof. Doctor João Gomes Cravinho, who came to know the capacities and activities developed by the IH in the scientific field and in support of naval operations.

In his visit he gave special emphasis to the Naval Meteorological and Oceanographic Center (CMETOC) and also to the participation of the IH in scientific projects in the Atlantic space.
