Technical meeting between the IH, Marine Institute and the Blue Ocean Foundation
Following the Memorandum of Understanding signed in 2019 between the Hydrographic Institute and the Marine Institute (Ireland Republic), for mutual recognition, strategic alliance and intention to establish sustainable collaboration projects in the Atlantic Ocean area , a technical meeting took place last February 27. The Blue Ocean Foundation also participated in this meeting.
The meeting had as main objectives to define and align activities related to science and technology, optimizing the relevance and value of each organization to society, enhancing the mutual use of resources and minimizing potential overlaps or redundancy of actions.
In this sense, lines of collaboration were defined for the next two years, focusing on active participation in the Conference of Oceans and projects that boost the sustainable knowledge of the Atlantic as the joint survey of sensitive areas that allow better management and conservation.
