Mission ADCPCHANGE MAR21

The ADCPCHANGE MAR21 mission took place from 5 to 11 March 2021. This mission, under the responsibility of the Oceanography Division, aimed to exchange two current profilers in Sines as part of the study to monitor the effects of the port structures of the Port of Sines on the evolution of the adjacent coastal zone, to merge 3 Wavy off the beach S. Torpes under the Meloa project, to exchange a current profiler with the ability to measure agitation near the beach of Matosinhos and to recover a current profiler in Barra de Lisboa under the OCEANMET – Cost-Efficient Ocean-Meteorological Data Service For Reliable Real-Time Information And Marine Forecast project.  

These works had the internal support of the Marine Geology Division, Maritime Instrumentation Center and Hydrographic Brigade. Externally to the IH were involved a team of the Detachment of Sappers Divers (DMS2), means of the Captaincy of Sines, the Captaincy of Cascais and the Captaincy of Leixões to whom the Hydrographic Institute thanks.
