ADCPCHANGE Mission

From 12 to 14 January 2021, a team from the Oceanographic Engineering and Maritime Instrumentation Center, supported by a team from the Sappler Divers Detachment (DMS2) carried out the ADCPCHANGE mission. This mission aimed to exchange two current profilers in Sines, as part of the monitoring study of the effects of the port structures of the Port of Sines on the evolution of the adjacent coastal zone and to recover two current profilers under the OCEANMET – Cost-Efficient Ocean-Meteorological Data Service for Reliable Real-Time Information And Marine Forecast project, one in Sagres and the other in Barra de Lisboa.

This mission also had the support of the Captaincy of Lagos and the Captaincy of Sines to whom the Hydrographic Institute thanks.
