Library of the Hydrographic Institute integrates the National Defense Library Network
Users of the Library of the Hydrographic Institute (HI) are informed that it has joined the National Defense Library Network, which currently includes 17 libraries from the 3 branches of the Armed Forces. The Navy also includes the following libraries: Central Navy Library, Navy Academy Library and Naval School Library.
With the Network of National Defense Libraries, the bibliographic research of the IH Library ceases to be done through DocBase and becomes available online on the Horizon platform through the following address: http://libraries. Defense. en/ipac20/ipac. jsp?profile=
It should be noted that the research can be done in the Collective Catalogue involving all libraries that integrate the project, or specifically in the IH Library Database, selecting for this purpose the respective field, or directly in:http://libraries. Defense. en/ipac20/ipac. jsp?profile=bih.
In generic terms, the research is similar to that previously conducted in DocBase, being possible simple search through keyword or advanced search, using for this purpose the fields (title, author, subject, collection, etc.) or its conjugation.
Any questions and/or questions can be asked for the milton email. silva@hydrografico. en or directly in the service of the Library.
Some facts:
The implementation of this project is the result of a multi-year ambition to create a Defense Library Network that would bring together some of the most relevant libraries in the area of National Defense;
The Collective Catalogue currently contains the registration of more than 350 000 works, from books, periodicals, photographs, films, maps, etc. About 12 000 belong to the IH;
