JOCLAD 2020

On October 22, 23 and 24, the XXVII Days of Data Classification took place in virtual mode, with the joint organization of the Portuguese Association of Classification and Analysis of Data (CLAD) and the Lusófona University of Humanities and Technology (ULHT - Lisbon).

The Hydrographic Institute was represented at this event with the presentation of two works: “Prediction of hades using data in near-real time” and “Using common exploration statistical tools to interpret acoustic suspended sediment response in the Portuguese inner shelf”. The first study presented the preliminary results of meteorological overvoltage modeling using neuronal networks, the second study presented results of classification of acoustic responses of correntometers in terms of sedimentary signatures in the water column using statistical methods of cluster analysis. The papers were presented by the collaborators of this institute, Dora Carinhas and Ana Isabel Santos, respectively.
