LTH On the Island of Flowers and Crow

The Hydrographic Brigade (BH) started a top-hydrographic survey on Flores Island on June 10, 2018.

This work is carried out in cooperation between the Regional Government of the Azores, the Blue Ocean Foundation and the Hydrographic Institute (IH), and it is essential to obtain updated hydrographic information, dating from 1963 to prumo, complementing, in the areas closest to land, the hydrographic survey already carried out by the ship NRP Admiral Gago Coutinho.

A multidisciplinary team of 5 members of the BH are involved in this mission, but two elements belonging to the “Live Waters” vessel of the Regional Government, where a multi-beam system (MFS) was installed. The team has carried out simultaneous surveys and topography.
