On June 24, at Faial, the ceremony was held to close the scientific expedition Blue Ocean. In this mission, which took place over 20 days, scientists from various institutions participated and was organized by the Foundation Blue Ocean in collaboration with the Portuguese Navy, through the Hydrographic Institute, the Regional Government of the Azores, the University of the Azores and the Mission Structure for the Extension of the Continental Platform (EMEPC).
At the end of this ceremony, a cooperation protocol was signed between the Hydrographic Institute and the Blue Ocean Foundation, with the main objective of promoting collaboration between the parties in the development of activities and projects related to the marine environment.
