Hydrographic Institute participates in the Portuguese Days of Coastal and Port Engineering

The Hydrographic Institute participated in the 11th edition of the Coastal and Port Engineering Days, organized by PIANC Portugal, which took place on October 03 and 4, 2023, at the Leixões cruise terminal.

The days were a high-quality event aimed at sharing good practices in the implementation of engineering projects and maritime works. They are also a privileged forum for sharing products and services aimed at improving maritime safety.

The Hydrographic Institute took part in the meetings with three presentations to disseminate the activities of the Institute:

• The Standard S-100 (Universal Hydrographic Data Model) by Commander Isabel Bué of the Navigation Division;
• Volume Calculation – Evaluation of methods and tools by Eng. Leonor Veiga of the Hydrography Division;
• The Universal Hydrographic Model S-100: The hydrographic information and digitisation of the Ocean by Commander Antunes Nunes of the Technical and Scientific Data Management Centre.
