Hydrographic Institute receives visit from the Ambassador of Romania

The Hydrographic Institute (IH) received, on Friday, January 9, the visit of the Ambassador of Romania to Portugal, Ms. Daniele Gîtman.

During the visit, the Ambassador had the opportunity to attend a presentation delivered by the Director-General of the IH, Rear Admiral João Ramalho Marreiros, on the Institute’s activities. She also visited the Maritime Geospatial, Meteorological and Oceanographic Centre (CGEOMETOC) and the NATO Centre of Excellence (MGEOMETOC), as well as an exhibition of equipment operated by the Hydrographic Institute.

The programme also included a visit to the historic building of the Convento das Trinas.
