The Portuguese Hydrographic Institute (IH) welcomed, this week, a visit from a group of 12 Permanent Representatives to the United Nations, accompanied by Portugal’s Permanent Representative, Rui Vinhas, and the Director of the Diplomatic Institute, Ana Paula Zacarias.

During the visit, it was possible to present IH’s contribution in the fields of hydrography, oceanography, and support to maritime safety, as well as its role at both the national and international levels.

The visit by the group of Permanent Representatives to the United Nations took place within the framework of their visit to Portugal, in the context of the national campaign for a non-permanent seat on the United Nations Security Council.
