Hydrographic Institute records maximum history in the passage of depression Sundays

The MONIZE network of the Hydrographic Institute registered, on 4 and 5 November 2023, with the passage of depression "Domingos", a worsening of the state of the sea on the coast of Continental Portugal.

On November 4, a maximum height of 20.3m was observed at 9pm and a significant height of 12.6m, at 10pm, in the bay of Leixões Oceânica, located 75 kilometers from the coast. 

In the coastal buoy of Leixões, located about 20 kilometers from the coast, there were 18.1m of maximum height and 11.3m of significant height, on November 4th, at 9pm. 

The mentioned values are historical maximums acquired by the buoys of the Hydrographic Institute, for the northern area of Continental Portugal (Leixões).
